Abraham de Verwer
Pintor holandés de paisajes urbanos
Abraham de Verwer fue un pintor de la Edad de Oro neerlandesa especializado en paisajes urbanos, paisajes (fluviales) y marinas. También se le llamaba Abraham de Verweer van Burghstrate. Viajó por el norte de Francia y, a su regreso, se estableció en Ámsterdam. Se desconoce quién le enseñó a pintar, pero en 1607 fue mencionado en el testamento de su esposa en Haarlem como "schrijnwerker" (ebanista), y en 1614 fue registrado como pintor en un inventario de bienes de Ámsterdam. Viajó por Francia desde 1637 hasta 1639. Era el padre de la poetisa de Ámsterdam Catharina Verwers y del pintor de Ámsterdam Justus de Verwer.
