Rinsaku Akamatsu
Meister der Osaka-Drucke
Akamatsu Rinsaku war ein Maler, Illustrator, Karikaturist und Druckgrafiker in Osaka. Er wurde 1878 in Tsuyama City in der Präfektur Okayama, Japan, geboren. Er studierte westliche Malerei an der renommierten Tokyo School of Fine Arts, einer seiner Lehrer war Yamauchi Gusen. Akamatsu Rinsakus erste Anstellung war als Illustrator für die Zeitung Osaka Asahi Shimbun. Sein Hauptwerk ist die Serie "Sechsunddreißig Ansichten von Osaka", die 1947 fertiggestellt und veröffentlicht wurde. Rinsaku Akamatsu trug auch zur Serie "Bilder berühmter Orte in Osaka und Kobe" bei.
