阿尔伯特·莱弗林
多产的美国报刊艺术家
阿尔伯特·莱弗林出生于印第安纳州霍普，是木匠利瓦伊·L·莱弗林之子。后来全家迁至密苏里州堪萨斯城。莱弗林学习了建筑学，并在德克萨斯州圣安东尼奥从事该职业八年。 他后来放弃建筑，成为一名报纸艺术家。莱弗林曾为密苏里州堪萨斯城的报纸以及《明尼阿波利斯时报》和《芝加哥论坛报》工作。1896年，他移居纽约，任职于《纽约日报》《论坛报》和《先驱论坛报》。随后他担任书籍和杂志插画师，任职于《帕克》《生活》《科利尔》和《大都会》杂志社。到1903年，他已在《哈珀周刊》拥有定期整版专栏。 1909年，利弗林为马克·吐温的短篇作品《斯托姆菲尔德船长天堂游记摘录》绘制了封面和卷首插图。
