阿尔弗雷德·爱德华·查隆（Alfred Edward Chalon）是英国皇家艺术学院的瑞士肖像画家。他居住在伦敦，并受到维多利亚女王的关注。 阿尔弗雷德·沙隆出生于日内瓦，其父亲不久后被聘为英国桑赫斯特皇家军事学院的教授。 阿尔弗雷德与他的兄弟约翰·詹姆斯·查隆（1778–1854）一同成为艺术家。他于1797年进入皇家艺术学院，并加入了水彩画家团体“水彩画家协会”。在学院中，他于1812年当选为副院士（ARA），随后于1816年成为正式院士（RA）。 他以描绘伦敦上流社会的肖像画而闻名，被维多利亚女王选中，为其母亲绘制一幅礼物：1837年7月17日，维多利亚身着礼服前往上议院，履行其首个官方职责——议会休会。完成此项任务后，夏隆获封“陛下水彩肖像画家”，并赢得一定声誉。他于1837年创作的肖像由塞缪尔·卡曾斯雕刻成版画，并于1838年6月28日维多利亚加冕日向公众发行。随后，自1851年起，“夏隆头像”出现在一些英国殖民地的邮票上。 作为单身汉，沙隆兄弟住在一起。1860年，阿尔弗雷德在伦敦肯辛顿的坎普登山去世。
