Andrea Mantegna
Perspectiva escultórica y figuras monumentales
Andrea Mantegna fue un pintor italiano, estudiante de arqueología romana y yerno de Jacopo Bellini. Al igual que otros artistas de la época, Mantegna experimentó con la perspectiva, por ejemplo, bajando la línea del horizonte para crear una sensación de mayor monumentalidad. Sus paisajes duros como el pedernal y metálicos, junto con sus figuras algo pétreas, dan prueba de un enfoque fundamentalmente escultórico en su pintura. También dirigió un taller que fue el principal productor de grabados en Venecia antes de 1500。
