Anton von Maron
Retratista neoclássico em Roma
Anton von Maron foi um pintor austríaco, ativo em Roma. Von Maron nasceu em Viena, mas mudou-se para Roma ainda jovem. Lá, estudou com Anton Raphael Mengs e tornou-se um retratista consumado. Casou-se com a irmã de Mengs, Therese Maron, que também era pintora. Viveu o restante de sua vida em Roma e faleceu lá em 1808.
