Antonio del Castillo y Saavedra

Antonio del Castillo y Saavedra foi um pintor, escultor e poeta espanhol do período barroco. Antonio del Castillo y Saavedra nasceu em Córdova, Espanha. Ele treinou em pintura sob a orientação de seu pai Agustín del Castillo e, após a morte deste, de 1631 a 1634, com um pintor religioso pouco conhecido chamado Ignacio Aedo Calderón. Mais tarde, foi ensinado em Sevilha por Francisco de Zurbarán e por seu tio Juan del Castillo, que também foi mestre de Cano, Murillo e De Moya. Em 1635, ele retornou a Córdoba, onde pintou afrescos e pinturas a óleo (como os da igreja de Santa Marina). Ele morreu em Córdoba em 1668.
