Arthur von Ferraris
Retratista acadêmico formado em Viena e Paris
Arthur von Ferraris nasceu na Hungria e começou sua carreira artística em Viena como aluno do retratista Joseph Matthaus Aigner; por um tempo, o jovem artista ganhou a vida pintando retratos. No início da década de 1880, Ferraris, como muitos de seus compatriotas, mudou-se para Paris, onde estudou com Jean Léon Gérôme e Jules Lefebvre na École des Beaux-Arts.
