August Heinrich

Heinrich estudou em Dresden e Viena, onde conheceu membros da Irmandade dos Nazarenos. Em 1819, ele conheceu tanto Johan Christian Dahl quanto Caspar David Friedrich. No ano seguinte, foi listado entre os alunos de Friedrich. Frequentemente de saúde frágil, Heinrich morreu de uma doença pulmonar em 1822, aos 28 anos, enquanto viajava para a Itália pela primeira vez.
