Cesare Dandini

Cesare Dandini fue un pintor italiano del período barroco, activo principalmente en su ciudad natal de Florencia. Era el hermano mayor del pintor Vincenzo Dandini (1609–1675). Su sobrino, Pietro, fue alumno de Vincenzo, y los dos hijos de Pietro, Ottaviano Dandini y el sacerdote jesuita Vincenzo, también trabajaron como pintores en Florencia. Según el biógrafo Baldinucci, Cesare trabajó primero con Francesco Curradi, luego con Cristofano Allori y finalmente con Domenico Passignano. Se inscribió en 1621 en la Accademia del Disegno. Su estilo posee el refinamiento y la atención al dibujo y al diseño característicos de florentinos como Carlo Dolci. Entre sus alumnos estaban Stefano della Bella, Alessandro Rosi, el paisajista Antonio Giusti, Giovanni Domenico Ferrucci y Jacopo Giorgi.
