Charles-François Grenier de Lacroix
Nachahmender französischer Marinemaler
Charles Francois Grenier de Lacroix, genannt Charles Francois Lacroix de Marseille, war ein französischer Maler. Charles François Lacroix aus Marseille war ein Landschafts- und Marinemaler im Stil von Claude Joseph Vernet, Jean-Joseph Kapeller (1702–1790) und Henry von Arles. Er war Schüler und Nachahmer von Joseph Vernet und hielt sich 1754 in Rom auf. Ab 1776 stellte er mit großem Erfolg aus und verbrachte einen Großteil seines Lebens zwischen Italien und der Provence. 1780 veröffentlichte er eine Anzeige, um Schüler in seinem Atelier in Paris aufzunehmen. Jean-Jacques Le Veau und Noël Le Mire stachen einige seiner Gemälde.
