Charles Frederick William Mielatz
Gravador de arquitetura urbana
Charles Mielatz alcançou fama como gravador de temas arquitetônicos. Seu interesse pelo padrão e estrutura dos edifícios urbanos é evidente na ponte metálica da Cherry Street, feita em 1904. Sete anos depois, quando Mielatz retratou um vendedor de sorvete do início do século XX em Bowling Green, ele deu igual atenção à fileira de edifícios ao fundo. Mielatz nasceu na Alemanha, mas passou a maior parte de sua carreira nos Estados Unidos. Durante a década de 1880, esteve ativo em Newport, Rhode Island. Seu trabalho está nas coleções da Biblioteca Pública de Nova York e do Museu de Arte Parrish.
