夏爾·路易·米勒
多產法國歷史畫家
夏爾·路易·米勒（又稱巴黎的米勒）是一位法國畫家。他是巴黎高等美術學院中萊昂·科涅、格羅男爵等人的學生。1837年，他展出了他的第一幅畫作《聖誕早晨》。從1850年到1853年，他擔任戈布蘭掛毯製造廠的負責人。1864年，他接替讓-伊波利特·弗朗德蘭，成為法蘭西學院美術學院的院士。 他是一位多產的歷史畫和肖像畫家。他的作品包括《埃拉加巴盧斯》（1841年）、《春》（1846年）、《海蒂》（1848年）、《麥克白夫人》，以及他的傑作《在聖拉扎爾監獄召喚恐怖統治的最後受害者》（“Appel des dernières victimes de la Terreur dans la prison de Saint-Lazare”，繪有最著名受害者的肖像）。其他值得注意的作品還有《皇帝萬歲》，該作品獲一等獎章，取材自梅里關於1814年3月30日巴黎戰役前一段插曲的詩作（1855年）、《瑪麗·安托瓦內特》（1857年）、《恐怖統治時期的一場彌撒》（1863年）、《苔絲狄蒙娜》（1868年）、《朗朱奈在講壇上》（1869年）、《李爾王的瘋狂》（1875年）、《獄中的夏洛特·科黛》（1875年）、《悲痛聖母》（1877年）、《聖巴多羅買的殉難》和《無辜者的大屠殺》。 他為盧浮宮的國事廳和阿波羅畫廊，以及德農沙龍的天花板創作了壁畫，這些作品至今仍存。
