夏洛特·安格斯

夏洛特·安格斯是一位美国艺术家。安格斯出生于密苏里州堪萨斯城，年轻时移居费城，并在那里长大。她曾在费城的艺术大学和图形素描俱乐部学习，随后在一家广告公司任职，但因大萧条而失业。1936年，她参与了联邦艺术项目，起初为联邦戏剧项目绘制舞台布景，随后为《美国设计索引》供稿。1942年该项目结束时，她学习制图，并在费城的海军航空医学中心担任绘图员。她还为公共事业振兴署创作海报。1947年，安格斯与约翰·斯特凡纳克结婚，并随他定居于宾夕法尼亚州西南部，继续展出她的艺术作品。她逝于宾夕法尼亚州普拉斯基，安葬于赫米蒂奇的圣安公墓。 安格斯的石版画《废弃者》由斯宾塞艺术博物馆收藏。她为美国设计索引创作的大部分作品目前由美国国家美术馆收藏。她的作品也被纽瓦克艺术博物馆收藏。
