Christian Albrecht Jensen foi um pintor de retratos dinamarquês que esteve ativo durante a Idade de Ouro da pintura dinamarquesa na primeira metade do século XIX. Pintando mais de 400 retratos ao longo de sua carreira, ele retratou a maioria das figuras proeminentes da Idade de Ouro dinamarquesa, incluindo o escritor Hans Christian Andersen, o pintor Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg, o escultor Bertel Thorvaldsen, o físico Hans Christian Ørsted e o teólogo N. F. S. Grundtvig. Embora Jensen tenha tido considerável sucesso comercial, recebeu pouca apreciação oficial do establishment artístico de sua época.
