老克里斯蒂安·格奥尔格·舒茨是一位德国画家和版画家。 老克里斯蒂安·格奥尔格·舒茨（Christian Georg Schütz der Ältere）于1718年9月24日出生在美因河畔弗勒斯海姆（Flörsheim am Main），是耕地与葡萄农约翰内斯·舒茨（Johannes Schütz）及其妻子多萝西娅（娘家姓布雷克海默，Breckheimer）五个孩子中的第四个。13岁时，他开始跟随法兰克福的湿壁画和立面画家雨果·施莱格尔（Hugo Schlegel）进行为期四年的学徒训练。 舒茨最初是一名立面和装饰画家，但很快便专攻油画风景画和景观画。他前往莱茵河和瑞士进行研习旅行，并于1750年左右在不伦瑞克、卡塞尔和美因茨的宫廷逗留。从1759年到1762年，他为法兰克福的法国城市指挥官托朗克伯爵工作。 他于1791年在法兰克福去世。他去世后，他的儿子约翰·格奥尔格继续经营这家工坊。
