老克里斯蒂安·格奧爾格·舒茨是一位德國畫家和版畫家。 老克里斯蒂安·格奧爾格·舒茨（Christian Georg Schütz der Ältere）於1718年9月24日出生在美因河畔弗勒斯海姆（Flörsheim am Main），是耕地與葡萄農約翰內斯·舒茨（Johannes Schütz）及其妻子多蘿西婭（娘家姓布雷克海默，Breckheimer）五個孩子中的第四個。13歲時，他開始跟隨法蘭克福的濕壁畫和立面畫家雨果·施萊格爾（Hugo Schlegel）進行為期四年的學徒訓練。 舒茨最初是一名立面和裝飾畫家，但很快便專攻油畫風景畫和景觀畫。他前往萊茵河和瑞士進行研習旅行，並於1750年左右在不倫瑞克、卡塞爾和美因茨的宮廷逗留。從1759年到1762年，他為法蘭克福的法國城市指揮官托朗克伯爵工作。 他於1791年在法蘭克福去世。他去世後，他的兒子約翰·格奧爾格繼續經營這家工坊。
