克洛德·吉洛
開創田園雅集裝飾風格
克勞德·吉洛是法國畫家、版畫家和插畫家，最為人熟知的是作為華托和蘭克雷的老師。 吉洛出生於朗格勒。他是一位畫家、版畫家、書籍插圖師、金屬工匠和劇院設計師。1703年至1708年間，華托曾是他的學徒。 吉洛特以《潘神的盛宴》和《巴克斯的盛宴》等標題命名的活潑神話風景畫，於1715年為他打開了巴黎繪畫學院的大門；隨後他調整自己的藝術風格以迎合當時的時尚品味，並引入了裝飾性的田園宴會題材，後來他的學生在這方面超越了他。他還作為佈景和服裝設計師，與歌劇和劇院有著密切的聯繫。他在巴黎去世，享年49歲。
