Edward Vincent Brewer de Saint Paul fue la respuesta de Minnesota al famoso ilustrador Norman Rockwell. Desde 1911 hasta 1926, Brewer creó los enormemente populares anuncios de página completa de Cream of Wheat que aparecían mensualmente en docenas de revistas nacionales. Los anuncios caseros de la empresa de Minneapolis se han convertido en objetos de colección. Hijo de uno de los mejores retratistas de este país (y padre de un talentoso retratista), Edward Brewer también fue un muralista y retratista dotado.
