Elisha Brown Bird
Pioneiro em caricaturas de beisebol
Elisha Brown Bird foi um ilustrador americano conhecido por seus pôsteres e designs de ex-libris. Natural de Dorchester, frequentou o M.I.T. e, após a formatura, tornou-se um dos primeiros a desenhar jogadores de beisebol em ação. Por mais de 15 anos antes de sua aposentadoria em 1939, ele esteve no departamento de arte do New York Times. Exposições permanentes de seus ex-libris estão em exibição na Boston Public Library e nas bibliotecas de Harvard e Yale.
