埃尔默·博伊德·史密斯
多产的美国童书插画家
Elmer Boyd Smith是一位美国儿童读物作家、插画家和画家。 史密斯出生于新不伦瑞克省的圣约翰，1881年至1884年间在巴黎的朱利安学院师从古斯塔夫·布朗热和朱尔斯·约瑟夫·勒费弗尔学习艺术，并跟随H.勒福特学习了数年。20世纪初，他搬到康涅狄格州的威尔顿，并在那里度过了余生。他为成人和儿童绘制了七十多本书的插图，始于1896年在法国居住期间创作的《我的村庄》。他的第一本儿童读物是1905年的《诺亚方舟的故事》。
