Francesco Fontebasso
Peintre rococo vénitien influencé par Tiepolo
Francesco Fontebasso était un peintre italien de la fin du baroque ou de la période rococo à Venise. Il a d'abord été apprenti auprès de Sebastiano Ricci, mais a été fortement influencé par son contemporain, Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. En 1761, Fontebasso a visité Saint-Pétersbourg et a réalisé des peintures de plafond et des décorations pour le Palais d'Hiver. Fontebasso est retourné à Venise en 1768. Il a aidé à décorer une chapelle de San Francesco della Vigna. Il est mort à Venise en 1769. Il est représenté dans des collections, par exemple au palais de Kadriorg (partie du musée d'art d'Estonie) à Tallinn, en Estonie.
