Francesco Fontebasso
Pittore rococò veneziano influenzato da Tiepolo
Francesco Fontebasso è stato un pittore italiano del tardo barocco o periodo rococò di Venezia. Ha fatto prima apprendistato con Sebastiano Ricci, ma è stato fortemente influenzato dal suo contemporaneo, Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. Nel 1761, Fontebasso ha visitato San Pietroburgo e ha prodotto dipinti sul soffitto e decorazioni per il Palazzo d'Inverno. Fontebasso è tornato a Venezia nel 1768. Ha contribuito a decorare una cappella a San Francesco della Vigna. Morì a Venezia nel 1769. È rappresentato in collezioni, ad esempio nel Palazzo di Kadriorg (parte del Museo d'Arte dell'Estonia) a Tallinn, Estonia.
