水彩描繪秘魯風俗
弗朗西斯科·菲耶羅·帕拉斯，被稱為「潘喬」·菲耶羅，是一位祕魯非裔畫家，主要以描繪其國家生活和風俗的風俗主義水彩畫而聞名。 他於1809年2月5日受洗，是牧師尼古拉斯·羅德里格斯·德爾·菲耶羅（Nicolás Rodríguez del Fierro）與尼古拉斯父親、民兵軍團上校安東尼奧（Don Antonio）家中一名女奴的兒子。根據規定，西班牙人的兒子生來不能為奴，他一出生便獲得了自由，但他是由母親的家族撫養長大的。 沒有關於他接受過任何藝術訓練的記錄，所以他很可能是自學的。他於1828年結婚，靠畫招牌、製作鬥牛海報和為耶穌誕生場景塑造雕像謀生。他還畫過壁畫，但所有這些壁畫都已被毀或被覆蓋。 如今，他因在招牌卡片上繪製描繪秘魯日常生活場景的水彩畫而被銘記。他創作了1200多幅作品，其流行催生了許多模仿者。作家里卡多·帕爾馬擁有大量收藏，其後代將其捐贈給利馬市。這些作品現陳列於利馬市立伊格納西奧·梅里諾美術館。圖注由帕爾馬提供，因為菲耶羅可能不識字。其他大型收藏被法國畫家萊昂斯·安格朗和俄羅斯民族學家利奧波德·馮·施倫克收購，後者的收藏現位於聖彼得堡藝術宮的「人類學與民族學博物館」。 據《商報》的一篇訃告稱，他在秘魯獨立日於一家醫院因癱瘓去世。
