Franz Werner von Tamm

Franz Werner von Tamm fu un pittore barocco tedesco che viaggiò e lavorò in Italia. Von Tamm è nato ad Amburgo. Secondo Houbraken, che lo chiamò Joano Vernero Tam in una poesia sui membri dei Bentvueghels, si unì ai Bent con il nome di "Dapper" ed era un buon pittore di fiori. Il suo soprannome era «Dapper» o «Aprêt». Fu influenzato da David de Coninck e divenne il maestro di Pietro Navarra. Soggiornò a Roma negli anni 1685-1695 ed è noto per le nature morte di fiori e le scene di caccia. Nel 1702 si trovava a Passau e poi si trasferì a Vienna. Fu formato nello studio di Carlo Maratta a Roma. Fu invitato a Vienna per diventare pittore di corte e vi rimase fino alla sua morte.
