乔治·莱斯利·亨特
苏格兰色彩派光影大师
乔治·莱斯利·亨特是一位苏格兰画家，被视为苏格兰色彩主义画派四位艺术家之一。他原名乔治·亨特，在旧金山时采用了“莱斯利”这个名字，此后莱斯利·亨特便成为他的职业用名。他自幼展现出绘画天赋，主要靠自学成才，仅从一位家庭熟人那里接受过基础的绘画指导。从十五岁起，他在美国度过了十五年对其艺术发展至关重要的岁月，主要居住在加利福尼亚州。之后他返回苏格兰，在当地及巴黎进行绘画与素描创作。随后，他广泛游历欧洲，尤其是法国南部，同时也到访过荷兰、加来海峡省和意大利。 亨特创作了多种静物画、风景画和肖像画，其作品因对光线及光影效果的精妙处理而广受评论界赞誉。在他生前，这些画作便已受到较为前卫的评论家和收藏家的青睐；自他去世后，其作品价格更是节节攀升，如今已成为苏格兰最受欢迎的画作之一。
