喬治·萊斯利·亨特
蘇格蘭色彩派光影大師
喬治·萊斯利·亨特是一位蘇格蘭畫家，被視為蘇格蘭色彩主義畫派四位藝術家之一。他原名喬治·亨特，在舊金山時採用了「萊斯利」這個名字，此後萊斯利·亨特便成為他的職業用名。他自幼展現出繪畫天賦，主要靠自學成才，僅從一位家庭熟人那裡接受過基礎的繪畫指導。從十五歲起，他在美國度過了十五年對其藝術發展至關重要的歲月，主要居住在加利福尼亞州。之後他返回蘇格蘭，在當地及巴黎進行繪畫與素描創作。隨後，他廣泛遊歷歐洲，尤其是法國南部，同時也曾到訪荷蘭、加來海峽省和義大利。 亨特創作了多種靜物畫、風景畫和肖像畫，其作品因對光線及光影效果的精妙處理而廣受評論界讚譽。在他生前，這些畫作便已受到較為前衛的評論家和收藏家的青睞；自他去世後，其作品價格更是節節攀升，如今已成為蘇格蘭最受歡迎的畫作之一。
