喬治·洛林·布朗

喬治·洛林·布朗是一位美國風景畫家。他出生於波士頓，最初師從阿隆佐·哈特韋爾學習木刻，並擔任插畫師。他曾跟隨華盛頓·奧尔斯頓學習繪畫，但很快便前往歐洲，並在意大利居住了數年。布朗一生中大半時間都在國外度過，其畫作的主題通常是意大利的，無論是在表現手法還是情感上，都沒有任何明顯的美國特色。他最優秀的作品包括《熱那亞的日落》（1875年）、《總督宮與大運河》、《那不勒斯灣》、《月光下的尼亞加拉瀑布》。《紐約灣》（1869年）是在威爾士親王訪問美國時由愛德華七世國王購得的。
