ゲオルギウス・ヤコブス・ヨハネス・ファン・オス
19世紀オランダの花卉画家
Georgius Jacobus Johannes van Os は、北ネーデルラント出身の19世紀の画家であった。彼は画家 Jan van Os と Susanna de la Croix の息子および弟子であり、画家 Pieter van Os と Maria Margaretha van Os の兄弟であった。1809年、彼は静物画でアムステルダムの Felix Meritis 協会の一等賞を獲得し、後にこのジャンルを専門とした。Van Os は1812年に Nederlandse Leeuw 勲章の騎士（Ridder）となった。 1816年から1820年まで、彼はアムステルダムで働いた。1822年にパリに移り、そこでセーヴル磁器工場で働いた。彼は風景画を描いたが、父親と同様に、花の画家として最もよく知られていた。1830年代から、彼はハールレムで夏を過ごし、そこでJan Kopsが編集した「Flora Batava」の花の挿絵の制作を続けた。
