赫里特·阿德里安斯·貝赫克海德
荷蘭黃金時代城市景觀大師
赫里特·阿德里安松·貝爾克海德是荷蘭黃金時代的畫家，活躍於哈勒姆、阿姆斯特丹和海牙，如今以其城市風景畫而聞名。 貝爾克海德生於哈勒姆，亦卒於此地。他於1638年6月6日受洗為嬰兒，是畫家約布·阿德里安松·貝爾克海德的弟弟（小十一歲）兼學生。黃金時代歷史學家阿諾德·豪布拉肯聲稱，約布曾由其父培養為書籍裝訂工，卻無法查明究竟是誰教會了他繪畫。而赫里特則師從其兄長。約布的老師必定是一位哈勒姆的大師，有人認為是弗蘭斯·哈爾斯，但豪布拉肯卻稱，他曾以熟練工匠的身份在萊頓與烏得勒支之間遊歷，以肖像畫家的身份提供服務，並在實踐中習得技藝。 17世紀50年代，兩兄弟沿萊茵河前往德國進行了一次長途旅行，途經科隆、波昂、曼海姆，最終抵達海德堡。兄弟二人在海德堡為普法爾茨選帝侯卡爾一世·路德維希工作，並因辛勤付出而雙雙獲頒金質獎章，但他們終究無法適應宮廷生活，於是返回哈勒姆，共同擁有一所住宅和一間畫室。1660年7月27日，赫里特成為哈勒姆聖路加公會的成員。隨後，畫家阿德里安·奧登代克也加入了該公會。
