Giacomo Zoboli
Spätbarocke Altarbilder und Porträts
Jacopo Zoboli war ein italienischer Maler der Spätbarockzeit. Er wurde in Modena um das Jahr 1700 geboren. Sein erster Patron, Marquis Taddeo Rangone, schickte ihn zuerst zum Studium unter Francesco Stringa, dann nach Bologna. Er ging nach Rom, wo er um 1765 starb. Er malte ein Altarbild für die Kirche Sant'Eustachio in Rom. Er malte Altarbilder und Porträts und soll fifteen Platten geätzt haben, die das Leben von Aloysius Gonzaga und Stanislaus Kostka behandeln. Er fertigte auch farbige Radierungen von Bracciano, Tivoli, Visa und Brescia. Es wird gesagt, dass er in Rom arm starb.
