Giacomo Zoboli
Retables et portraits baroques tardifs
Jacopo Zoboli était un peintre italien de la période baroque tardive. Il est né à Modène vers l'année 1700. Son premier protecteur, le marquis Taddeo Rangone, l'envoya étudier d'abord sous Francesco Stringa, puis à Bologne. Il alla à Rome, où il mourut vers 1765. Il peignit un tableau d'altarpiece pour l'église de Sant'Eustachio à Rome. Il peignit des retables et des portraits, et l'on dit qu'il a gravé quinze planches traitant de la vie d'Aloysius Gonzaga et Stanislaus Kostka. Il a également réalisé des gravures en couleur de Bracciano, Tivoli, Visa et Brescia. On dit qu'il mourut pauvre à Rome.
