Giacomo Zoboli
Pale d'altare e ritratti tardo-barocchi
Jacopo Zoboli era un pittore italiano del periodo tardo-barocco. Nacque a Modena intorno all'anno 1700. Il suo primo mecenate, il marchese Taddeo Rangone, lo mandò a studiare prima sotto Francesco Stringa, poi a Bologna. Andò a Roma, dove morì intorno al 1765. Dipinse una pala d'altare per la chiesa di Sant'Eustachio a Roma. Dipinse pale d'altare e ritratti, e si dice che abbia inciso quindici lastre che trattano della vita di Aloysius Gonzaga e Stanislaus Kostka. Realizzò anche acquerelli e acqueforti a colori di Bracciano, Tivoli, Visa e Brescia. Si dice che morì povero a Roma.
