Giacomo Zoboli
Laat-barokke altaarstukken en portretten
Jacopo Zoboli was een Italiaanse schilder uit de late barokperiode. Hij werd geboren in Modena rond het jaar 1700. Zijn eerste beschermheer, markies Taddeo Rangone, stuurde hem eerst om te studeren onder Francesco Stringa, en daarna naar Bologna. Hij ging naar Rome, waar hij rond 1765 stierf. Hij schilderde een altaarstuk voor de kerk van Sant'Eustachio in Rome. Hij schilderde altaarstukken en portretten, en wordt gezegd fifteen platen te hebben geëtst die het leven van Aloysius Gonzaga en Stanislaus Kostka behandelen. Hij maakte ook gekleurde etsen van Bracciano, Tivoli, Visa en Brescia. Er wordt gezegd dat hij arm stierf in Rome.
