开创唐代写实画马风格

韩幹(约706–783年)是唐代画家,京兆蓝田(今陕西蓝田)人。他曾任宫廷画师。 他以画马闻名,但也擅长画人物、鬼神、花卉和竹子。他师从曹霸和陈闳,开创了通过观察真马来写生的方法。这促成了一种描绘体态丰腴、神态安详的马匹的新风格。他的代表作品包括《照夜白图》和《牧马图》。 他出身贫寒,曾在酒馆做工,但得到王维的资助,研习绘画十余年。后来他在宫廷任职,常驻马厩,细致观察御马,突破了过分强调肌肉与骨骼的旧式画风。 His paintings paid a lot of attention to the anatomy, fur color, and even the time of day and direction. "Zhaoye Bai Tu," now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the U.S., shows Emperor Xuanzong’s beloved horse raising its head and neighing. "Mu Ma Tu," housed in the National Palace Museum in Taipei, depicts two horses, one black and one white, walking side by side, with an inscription by Emperor Huizong of Song saying "Han Gan’s genuine work." The "Xuanhe Huapu" notes that he "developed his own unique style," and Su Shi commented, "Han Sheng paints horses that truly look like horses." His works had a lasting influence on later generations.
