漢斯·桑德羅伊特
瑞士象徵主義畫家
漢斯·桑德魯特是一位瑞士藝術家和設計師，以象徵主義風格繪畫。 完成中學教育後，他開始擔任石版印刷工的學徒。隨後他在紐倫堡短暫工作，之後前往維羅納跟隨阿基勒·卡里洛繼續深造；於1872年返回巴塞爾。次年，他前往慕尼黑，在一所私立藝術學校結識了阿諾德·伯克林。透過他在威廉·冯·考爾巴赫面前的斡旋，桑德雷特得以進入美術學院參加裸體素描課程。 1874年，他與伯克林前往佛羅倫斯，因病一直留在他身邊直到1877年，隨後前往巴黎。在那裡待了兩年後，他返回佛羅倫斯，又過了兩年，在巴塞爾開設了一間工作室。他接到了許多公共建築壁畫的設計委託； notably Stein am Rhein的修道院。1896年，他被任命為聯邦藝術委員會[de]的成員。次年，他短暫返回佛羅倫斯，在那裡為巴塞爾藝術館籌備伯克林展覽。 1899年，他被診斷出患有糖尿病。兩年後，他在家中去世。最初的死後批評毫不留情，許多人稱他不過是伯克林的模仿者。
