Henry Patrick Raleigh
Grootste illustrator van de gouden eeuw
Henry Patrick Raleigh was een uitstekend tekenaar en bekwaam illustrator die floreerde tijdens de Gouden Eeuw van de Amerikaanse illustratie. Hij werd gezocht door de populairste auteurs en publicaties. Tijdens zijn succesperiode was hij een van de best betaalde illustratoren in het land. In 1925 riep kunstkriticus Evert Shinn hem uit tot „Amerika's grootste illustrator".
