Henry Pether fue un pintor paisajista inglés, hijo de Abraham Pether (1756-1812) y hermano de Sebastian Pether (1790-1844). Todos eran conocidos por su habilidad para representar escenas iluminadas por la luna. El primo de su padre, William Pether (1738-1821), era un famoso grabador. Expuso 7 pinturas en la Royal Academy (1812 a 1862), 1 pintura de Venecia en la British Institution y 3 pinturas en la Royal Society of British Artists. Pintó vistas de Londres, el campo inglés y Venecia.
