赫尔曼·哈特维希是一位德裔美国风景和风俗画家。 《通用艺术家词典》称他为风俗画家、画家、风景画家和动物画家。赫林肖的《美国传记蓝皮书》将他提及为画家和版画家。 哈特维希于1881年至1885年在慕尼黑美术学院学习绘画，自1883年起在慕尼黑展出其作品。在慕尼黑玻璃宫艺术展览的目录中，哈特维希的名字出现在1883年、1888年、1889年、1890年和1891年的目录中。 哈特维希参加了六次巴黎艺术沙龙，并于1892年在那里获奖。他于1894年返回纽约的家中，但后来又回到慕尼黑，并于1926年在那里去世。
