Jacob van Meurs

Jacob van Meurs war ein niederländischer Kupferstecher und Verleger aus Amsterdam. Seine Werke befinden sich in der National Gallery of Art und der National Portrait Gallery. Von 1651 bis 1680 aktiv, spezialisierte er sich auf Werke der Geografie, Reiseberichte und Geschichte. Er veröffentlichte die erste Version von Die neue und unbekannte Welt: oder Beschreibung von Amerika und dem Südenland, die auf Niederländisch gedruckt wurde und 125 Kupferstiche enthielt.
