Jacob van Meurs
Nederlandse graveur van geografie
Jacob van Meurs was een Nederlandse graveur en uitgever uit Amsterdam. Zijn werken bevinden zich in de National Gallery of Art en de National Portrait Gallery. Actief van 1651 tot 1680, was hij gespecialiseerd in werken over geografie, reisverhalen en geschiedenis. Hij publiceerde de eerste versie van De Nieuwe en Onbekende Weereld: of Beschryving van America en 't Zuid-Land, dat in het Nederlands werd gedrukt en 125 kopergravures bevatte.
