James Arthur O'Connor
Hervorragender irischer Landschaftsmaler
James Arthur O'Connor (1792 – 7. Januar 1841) war ein irischer Maler. James Arthur O'Connor wurde in der Aston's Quay 15, Dublin, geboren – als Sohn eines Graveurs und Druckers, William O'Connor. O'Connor wurde ein angesehener Landschaftsmaler. Er war Autodidakt und erhielt nur wenige Unterrichtsstunden von William Sadler. Er reiste mit Francis Danby und George Petrie nach London und stellte 1822 in der Royal Academy aus. O'Connor besuchte Frankreich, Belgien, die Niederlande und das Rheinland. Er starb arm in Brompton, London, am 7. Januar 1841. O'Connor war verheiratet – der Name seiner Frau war Anastatia.
