James Madison Alden
Accomplished US surveying artist
James Madison Alden was an American artist, born in Roxbury, Massachusetts. He is regarded as one of the most accomplished surveying artists is the US and was part of the "Northwestern Boundary Survey" that helped establish the US-Canada border in the Northwest between 1857-1861.
