ヤン・ヘンドリック・フェルヘイエン
精密で手頃な街並み
ヤン・ヘンドリック・フェルヘイエンは12月22日、オランダのユトレヒトで商人の家に生まれた。1820年頃、彼はユトレヒトの街並みを描くことに注力し、これらの作品は彼の名前と不可分なものとなった。細部への高い注意を払って制作しながらも、作品を手頃な価格に抑えたことで、かつてヘリット・アドリアーンスゾーンやヤン・ファン・デル・ヘイデンといった巨匠たちが支配していた市場を独占することができた。
