揚·范德海登
開創荷蘭城市畫與消防技術
揚·范德海登是荷蘭巴洛克時期的畫家、玻璃畫家、製圖師和版畫家。范德海登是最早專攻城市景觀的荷蘭畫家之一，並成為荷蘭黃金時代領先的建築畫家之一。他在職業生涯的初期和末期創作了多幅靜物畫。 揚·范德海登也是一位工程師和發明家，為當時的消防技術做出了重大貢獻。1672年，他與擔任水力工程師的兄弟尼古拉斯共同發明了消防水帶的改進版本。他改進了手動消防泵，重組了志願消防隊（1685年），並編寫和繪製了第一本消防手冊（《Brandspuiten-boek》）。由范德海登設計並實施的阿姆斯特丹綜合街道照明方案從1669年一直運行到1840年，並被國內外許多其他城鎮作為典範採用。
