Französischer Maler, Schüler von Jean-Victor Bertin und Jean-Baptiste Regnault. Jean-Charles-Joseph Rémond wurde 1821 mit dem prestigeträchtigen Grand Prix de Paysage Historique ausgezeichnet. Der junge Künstler verbrachte die nächsten fünf Jahre in Italien und malte Skizzen im Freien. Rémond stellte ab 1848 nicht mehr aus.
