讓-雅克·拉格雷內

讓-雅克·拉格雷內，又名小拉格雷內，是一位法國新古典主義歷史畫家和版畫家，也是成功藝術家路易·讓·弗朗索瓦·拉格雷內的弟弟，並隨其接受訓練。1760年，小拉格雷內在羅馬大獎賽中失利後，他跟隨哥哥前往俄羅斯聖彼得堡，那裡他的哥哥已被任命為學院院長。兩兄弟於1762年回到巴黎，1763年，讓-雅克前往義大利，就讀於羅馬的法蘭西學院。在1763年至1768年的五年間，讓-雅克·拉格雷內潛心於法蘭西學院，深受新興的新古典主義藝術運動的影響。1769年回到巴黎後，他經常在沙龍展出作品，展示繪畫和素描。他的素描深受18世紀收藏家的追捧。 讓-雅克·拉格勒內於1769年成為法蘭西學院的準會員，1775年成為正式院士；他的入院作品是《冬天》，是為盧浮宮阿波羅畫廊繪製的一幅天花板畫。被選中參與盧浮宮天花板的裝飾是一項巨大的榮譽。 1776年，讓-雅克·拉格勒內被任命為副教授，並於1781年升任正教授。1785年至1800年間，他掌管著強大的塞夫爾製造廠的藝術部門，並設計了許多新古典主義物品（家具和餐具）。一種在大理石上製作設計圖樣的工藝被認為歸功於讓-雅克·拉格勒內。
