Johann Baptist Drechsler était un peintre autrichien de fleurs Drechsler est né à Vienne en 1766, fils d'un peintre sur porcelaine. En 1787, il devint le premier professeur de peinture florale à l'Académie des beaux-arts de Vienne, où ses élèves comprenaient Josef Nigg et Franz Xaver Petter. Son style fut particulièrement influencé par le travail finement détaillé du peintre floral néerlandais Jan van Huysum. Il est recensé comme ayant travaillé à la Manufacture de porcelaine de Vienne entre 1772 et 1782. On trouve des exemples de son travail à l'Ermitage de Saint-Pétersbourg et au Kunsthistorisches Museum. Il est mort à Vienne en 1811.
