Johann Baptist Drechsler foi um pintor austríaco de flores Drechsler nasceu em Viena em 1766, filho de um pintor de porcelana. Em 1787, tornou-se o primeiro professor de pintura floral na Academia de Belas-Artes de Viena, onde seus alunos incluíam Josef Nigg e Franz Xaver Petter. Seu estilo foi particularmente influenciado pelo trabalho finamente detalhado do pintor floral holandês Jan van Huysum. Há registros de que trabalhou na Manufatura de Porcelana de Viena entre 1772 e 1782. Há exemplos de sua obra no Hermitage, em São Petersburgo, e no Kunsthistorisches Museum. Ele morreu em Viena em 1811.
