Johann Christian Klengel
Maestro de grabados paisajísticos
Johann Christian Klengel fue un grabador y pintor alemán. Klengel asistió a la escuela de dibujo de Dresde. Su maestro fue Christian Wilhelm Ernst Dietrich. En 1790 viajó a Italia y en 1802 se convirtió en profesor de la Academia de Arte de Dresde. Uno de sus alumnos fue Karl Gottfried Traugott Faber. Pintaba paisajes y composiciones idílicas, principalmente a la luz de la mañana o de la tarde. En 1812 publicó una colección de doce hojas en folio para artistas paisajistas bajo el título «Principes de dessins pour les paysages» y, en 1824, un número similar de hojas originales, conocidas ahora como «Études de paysages».
